God has a purpose

But godliness with contentment is great gain. – 1 Timothy 6:6

The apostle Paul said, “I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not dis- turbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am” (Philippians 4: 11 AMP). He was saying “I’ve made a decision that I’m going to live my life happy.” Now “content” doesn’t mean we don’t want to see change or we simply sit back in neutral and accept everything as it comes.

That’s the key. You don’t have to get upset because your circumstances are not exactly what you want them to be. Keep in mind that God will not allow a difficulty to come into your life, unless He has a purpose for it. If you’ll keep the right attitude, God has promised He will turn that situation around in your favour, and you will come out better off than you were before. – Joel Osteen
